Good Luck Pizza adds Philadelphia flair to Marketplace PHL dining offer

USA. Good Luck Pizza, a popular local pizza chain, will soon open at Philadelphia International Airport Terminal E.

The brand adds further local flavour to the food & beverage options at the airport under the Marketplace PHL-managed programme, which now houses more than 176 eateries, retail shops and services.

The new location is introduced by Valerie Safran and Marcie Turney, the local duo behind Good Luck Pizza, and Washington, DC-based restaurateur, Hakan Ilhan.

Flavour of Philadelphia: Good Luck Pizza takes its signature design and menu to the airport

“We’re excited to grow our dining choices for passengers at PHL alongside the creators of Philadelphia’s most popular eateries with this iconic addition,” said MarketPlace PHL Vice President and General Manager Mel Hannah.

Calling this venture a “dynamite project”, Ilhan said: “This concept is meant to evoke joy and allow travellers to relax from the stresses of difficult decisions. With a wide selection of pizzas, small plates and a large bar, it’s an easy decision for guests to indulge in one of our classic pizzas or cocktails.”

Good Luck Pizza is known for its oven-baked pizzas, including its signature thick-crust pizza. Also included in the menu are small plates such as meatballs, arancini, salads, wings, mussels, and fried calamari; entrees like rigatoni and braised pork; and various dessert options. The restaurant also offers customisable pizzas where diners can choose their toppings.

With a retro design look, Good Luck Pizza also features an expansive bar as the centrepiece with walls replicating subway tiles. Inside, flight information displays will be prominent to ensure that guests are on schedule for their travels. ✈
