GMAX Travel Retail launches Taffix nasal spray on global market

GMAX Travel Retail has launched Taffix nasal spray into global travel retail. The spray is described as “an effective personal anti-viral protection against COVID-19 and other viruses”.

Spray and go: GMAX Travel Retail introduces Taffix for travellers

Taffix is produced by Nasus Pharma. The powder-based spray aims to shift the PH level in the nose – where most viruses develop – by creating a protective gel lining to help kill viruses. According to GMAX Travel Retail Director Garry Maxwell, the spray works in 50 seconds and can provide protection for up to five hours.

Maxwell pointed out that while face masks help prevent infections, they do not offer 100% protection. Taffix can provide an additional layer of protection at a cost of approximately US$0.10 per day.

“Taffix is perfect for the traveller and is particularly useful in high-risk settings such as public transport, shops, airlines, schools and any enclosed spaces,” he said.

Tests in the US University of Virginia found the spray destroyed 99% of COVID-19 virus cells in laboratory conditions. “A real-world trial at a super-spreader event showed it cut the odds of COVID infection by 78%. The advice is to continue to wear masks but increase your protection dramatically by using Taffix,’’ Maxwell added.

As reported, Maxwell set up GMAX Travel Retail last year after 18 years with Premier Portfolio.
