BULGARIA. Fraport Twin Star Airport Management (FTSAM) has signed two master concessionaire agreements with travel retail powerhouses Lagardère Travel Retail and Avolta for Burgas and Varna airports.
As reported, FTSAM has awarded a master food & beverage concession to Lagardère Travel Retail while the company has also entered into a master retail agreement with Avolta (formerly Dufry and Autogrill) for the two airports.
Both contracts run for eight years.
Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD is a German-Bulgarian company which holds a 35-year concession for Burgas and Varna airports. German airport company Fraport holds a majority 60% share in the operation.


FTSAM welcomed the appointment of the two leading travel concession specialists. “The successful negotiation and finalisation of these agreements underscore FTSAM’s commitment to providing world-class amenities and services to travellers visiting the Varna and Burgas airports,” it said.

FTSAM described the contracts as an important step in the continuous development of the two airports. The agreements will ensure an even better experience for passengers by enhancing the commercial offers over the eight-year terms, it noted.
