Francois Bourienne steps down from senior commercial role at AGS Airports

UK. AGS Airports Chief Commercial Officer Francois Bourienne is to step down from his role with the group to “pursue fresh opportunities and to further develop his career”.

Bourienne, who is also Chair of the UK Travel Retail Forum (a role in which he will remain), joined the business initially as Commercial Director at Glasgow Airport ten years ago and has been a key figure in the commercial growth of the group. Before joining the airport company he worked for over four years with The Nuance Group in sales and operations roles.

AGS Airports Chief Executive Derek Provan said: “Francois has been the driving force not only in the many commercial successes Glasgow Airport has enjoyed during his ten years, but he also played an instrumental role in establishing AGS as one of the industry’s most successful airport groups.

“He played a critical role in a number of major projects such as the terminal transformations at both Aberdeen and Glasgow and the introduction of the iconic A380 aircraft to the latter’s hugely-popular Dubai service, which was a first for Scottish aviation.

“I am immensely grateful to Francois for all that he has delivered for the business and he should be proud of his many achievements during his time with AGS.”

Denise Gilmour, Head of Retail for Glasgow Airport and Yvonne Birch, Head of Retail for both Aberdeen and Southampton airports, will continue to work closely with retail and F&B partners, said AGS Airports in a statement.
