Fragrance and fashion essentials: Boss The Collection lands in global travel retail

The line of eight masculine scents was inspired by eight different Hugo Boss fashion essentials. It is now available in global travel retail.

Coty has launched Boss The Collection into global travel retail. The new men’s fragrance line features eight intense scents: Vigorous Cologne, Energetic Fougère, Magnetic Musk, Elegant Vetiver, Noble Wood, Daring Saffiano, Bold Incense and Confident Oud. Each fragrance was inspired by an olfactory alter-ego and represents a certain Hugo Boss wardrobe staple.

Vigorous Cologne is a woody citrus scent that represents the classic white shirt. It blends yellow citrus notes with woody patchouli.

From cashmere sweaters to made-to-measure suits, each fragrance represents the distinctive qualities of a Hugo Boss menswear staple

Fougère was inspired by the travel suit and offers notes of artemisia and creamy sandalwood, while Magnetic Musk represents a long cashmere coat with warm musk and sandalwood accords.

Elegant Vetiver symbolises a made-to-measure suit and blends a vetiver heart with unexpected hints of pistachio, while Noble Wood exudes the comfort of a cashmere knit with noble oakwood and vintage whisky notes.

Daring Saffiano represents black leather jacket, combining leather notes with rose geranium leaf, while Bold Incense is the lines’ take on the essential suede jacket. It combines frankincense and fruit with hints of plum.

Finally, the soon-to-be-launched Confident Oud represents the classic tuxedo and offers a powerful oud heart.

All the fragrances come in minimalist glass bottles inspired by Hugo Boss’ sleek tailoring. The flaçons feature subtle thermo-lustre finishes, evoking the feeling of liquid fabric, with coloured cylinders and metal bases portraying the distinctive colours of each scent.

The campaign stars German model/photographer Johannes Huebl who represents the epitome of the Boss man. Both the print and film campaigns highlight each scent’s star fragrance ingredient alongside a Boss fashion essential, underlining the link between the fragrances and the Boss tailoring creations that they represent.
