INTERNATIONAL. At The Trinity Forum in Shanghai this month, AOE Founder & CEO Kian Gould was introduced as travel retail’s walking talking disruption man.

Gould has been involved with some of the sector’s key airports and retailers in managing their evolution into omni-channel players. In the process, AOE’s OM3 platform has become the leading platform of choice for digitally transforming non-aeronautical revenues at key airports such as Frankfurt, London Heathrow and Auckland.

He is also integrally involved in the pioneering partnership between Singapore Airlines, DFASS and SATS in Singapore to create an omni-channel travel retail operation in Singapore.

Peter Marshall, founder of and, caught up with Kian at the recent TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. In part one of a three-part interview presented in association with The Moodie Davitt Report, Gould talks about the impact and overall effectiveness of the OM3 platform and the challenges and opportunities he sees.
