LUXEMBOURG. Ferrero’s Travel Market Division is launching a completely new offer for its Ferrero Rocher brand, specifically designed for travel retailers, called the Golden Edition.

Ferrero Rocher Golden Edition represents a true break from the domestic market, as it has been created to satisfy the most demanding customers who want to give a special and exclusive gift to their loved ones, the company said.

The restyled packaging aims to enhance the product’s visibility and attractiveness while still keeping the gold colour and transparency, the typical icons of Ferrero Rocher. In addition, the new packaging has both an external wrapper to protect the pack and an internal transparent hermetic film, developed to ensure maximum quality and freshness.

Ferrero Rocher Golden Edition is available in two sizes: 150g for an informal gift and 300g for a premium gift. The classic 375g size has been improved with a fresh packaging design and continues to satisfy self-consumption needs, according to Ferrero.

New Ferrero pralines for 2009

Ferrero is also launching two new brands into the travel retail market at the TFWA World Exhibition in October 2008: Ferrero RondNoir and Ferrero Garden.

Ferrero RondNoir is the first dark chocolate praline to be created by Ferrero and is targeted at the “sophisticated self-indulgence area”, the firm said. It is designed to deepen and enhance the consumer perception of Ferrero’s expertise in the boxed chocolate segment.

Ferrero Rondnoir will come in a 240g box, wrapped with a transparent film to ensure maximum quality and freshness and to protect the pack while on the shelves. It is designed as a gift pack or for sharing.

Ferrero Garden is described as “the Garden of the Ferrero delights”. This small and delicate speciality offers surprising fragrances and tastes, according to Ferrero. The product changes with the seasons: in winter the flavours are pistachio, hazelnut, coconut, almond and strawberry and in summer lemon will replace strawberry to give summer zest.

The box of 18 pralines is designed to be a small gift or for sharing with friends.

Kinder novelties 2009

The exclusive Kinder range for 2009 will comprise four new travel retail exclusive packs:

Kinder Chocolate Color Kit contains 100g of Kinder Chocolate, six colour felt pens and three postcards;

Kinder Surprise will now come with a new collection of Looney Tunes characters;

Kinder Schokobons is available in a big sharing bag of 320g;

Kinder Snack Pack contains more than 500g of the best-selling Kinder chocolates in a handy and attractive bag.
