FEPE International celebrates the best in OOH advertising

INTERNATIONAL. Nominations have opened for FEPE International’s 5th Annual Awards, which will be presented at its 60th annual Congress in Dubai in May next year.

FEPE International is the only global Out of Home (OOH) advertising association. It works to promote and improve the OOH industry. Board members include JCDecaux, Clear Channel, Exterion, Ströer, Outfront Media and oOh!media.

The awards include a Rising Star category for candidates under 30 who have made an outstanding contribution to the industry. Awards for Lifetime Achievement, Leadership and Outstanding Creative Achievement in both Classic and Digital categories are also featured.

Spotify claimed a major accolade at last year’s FEPE International Awards.

FEPE International Executive Director John Ellery said: “The FEPE International Awards are now established as the blue riband for the international Out of Home industry and we are expecting more nominations than ever for 2019.

“Our aim is always to celebrate the best of Out of Home: the leaders who have made the industry the global force it is today and the very best creative work in both Classic and Digital.

“They are the cornerstone of our annual Gala event (2 May) and play an important part in bringing the worldwide OOH industry together.”

Nominations can be made by any FEPE Member or recognised National OOH Association. Closing date is 1 March 2019.

JCDecaux Chairman Jean-Charles Decaux will be keynote speaker at the 60th FEPE International Congress in Dubai next year.

Registration for the Congress is also open. The Keynote Speaker will be Jean-Charles Decaux, who alternates with his brother, Jean-Francois Decaux, as Chairman of the world’s largest OOH media company, JCDecaux.

Other speakers, including representatives from OOH companies, specialists, media and ad agencies, and leading advertisers, will be announced shortly.

FEPE President and Ocean Outdoor Chairman Tom Goddard commented: “Next year’s congress will have more of an international flavour than ever, reflecting FEPE’s stature as a truly global body.

“Jean-Charles is uniquely placed to describe the challenges and opportunities the industry faces as it navigates a rapidly changing worldwide media marketplace.”
