Estée Lauder signs multi-year licensing deal with Milan fashion house Missoni – 19/05/05

US. The Estée Lauder Companies has signed a licensing agreement with Missoni, the Milan-based fashion house best known for its vibrant knitwear and graphic designs. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lauder will create and market fragrances and related products through its Aramis and Designer Fragrances division. The debut Lauder/Missoni fragrance is likely to be launched in the first half of 2006.

“Our relationship with Missoni represents important advances for several of our key business objectives, including the ongoing development of our European fragrance strategy and the expansion of our partnerships with leading fashion designers,” commented The Estée Lauder Companies Group President Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne.

“Missoni is a powerful fashion brand with worldwide recognition and surging momentum. It has a dynamic, stylish image that appeals globally to a sophisticated, trend-conscious customer.”
