The new Pure Color five-shade eye palettes |
INTERNATIONAL. Estée Lauder has extended its Pure Color make-up collection with a selection of new eye shadows, in palettes of two and five. They are rolling out in travel retail this month.
Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux explained: “For me it’s about having a collection of colours where you use your own vision to create a world of many looks. The possibilities are endless in this new collection.”
The new eye shadows are available in five different finishes: matte, satin, shimmer, metallic and frost. Each of the new shadows is unique to its own compact, with no duplications. They offer blendable, buildable coverage. The formula is claimed to last all day without fading, flaking or creasing.
The eye shadows are presented in sleek, gold-coloured mirrored compacts, complete with sponge-mitt applicator.
The Pure Color five-shade palettes have been designed to offer consumers multiple options within one product. Eight new sets are available, ranging from barely-there nudes to bold blues and greens.
“These palettes are my babies,” noted Pecheux, “They create so many looks for women from daytime to night”¦and give you the option to play with your look.”
The Pure Color duos are said to be ideal for the connoisseur who wants to build up her colour portfolio, or for the novice who wants to create a simple, focused make-up look. “Adding a duo will give you a new point of view and create options,” advised Pecheux. “It’s all about the joy of playing.”

In other news, Estée Lauder has created a new nail polish set. The Pure Color Nail Lacquer Travel Collection, also available from this month, comprises four x 5ml polishes, plus a quick-drying top coat, for a portable wardrobe of different nail looks.
The shades featured are Blackberry, Berry Flame, Tangerine Dream and Nude Chic. The polishes are presented in a compact carrying case.
