Elizabeth Arden has updated its Pink Friday fragrance from singer Nicki Minaj, with a new Special Edition, which will be available from May. The original scent was the number two celebrity fragrance launch of 2012, according to the brand.
“My fascination with changing my look is a way to express myself creatively,” noted the multi-platinum recording artist. “Pink Friday, my first fragrance, is a reflection of me. While introducing a unique collectible bottle, I wanted to give my Barbz a special edition fragrance to wear, adding a bit of dimension and playfulness to the original scent.”

The new juice is described as a floral gourmand fragrance. It opens on top notes of grapefruit, apple and white raspberry, atop a heart of water lily, honeysuckle and jasmine. The base blends caramelised pear and musk.
The fragrance is presented in a frosted flacon, in the form of Minaj’s silhouette, complete with gold-coloured face and long white wig.
The Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Special Edition will be available as a 30ml and 100ml edp, priced domestically at around US$39 and US$59, respectively.
In other news, Arden will introduce a new feminine fragrance from singer Mariah Carey, called Mariah Carey Dreams, in April.
The juice opens on notes of salted caramel apple, star anise, bergamot and toasted almonds. The heart features honeysuckle, freesia and lily of the valley, while the base comprises patchouli, Tonka bean and vanilla.
The flacon has been designed to mirror the curves of a Champagne flute. It is adorned with butterflies, a favourite motif of Carey’s.
Mariah Carey Dreams will be available as a 30ml and 50ml edp, priced domestically at around US$39 and US$49, respectively.
