Edrington Global Travel Retail has stepped up its luxury standalone boutique roll-out with a new opening at Heathrow Airport.
The new store is located in Terminal 5 immediately after the security area. It brings a glimpse of the new Macallan distillery on Speyside to the terminal, while offering a curated range of whiskies.

Highlights in the store’s collection include The Macallan 72 Years Old in Lalique – The Genesis Decanter, The Macallan Folio 5 and expressions from The Macallan Exceptional Single Cask collection.
The store design and in-store visuals offer a connection to the £140 million (US$175 million) distillery. The boutique contains a signature oak lattice centrepiece which recalls the distillery’s roof.

Dufry Global Head of Liquor David de Miguel commented: “Having worked collaboratively together for many years, we’re delighted to partner with The Macallan for its new Boutique in Heathrow Terminal 5. Our staff pride themselves on their malt whisky expertise and are well-placed to be operating the new boutique and bringing some of the world’s finest whiskies to visitors from across the globe.”
The store is the latest opening in Edrington’s multi-million-pound investment in opening standalone Macallan boutiques in major airports around the world. The Moodie Davitt Report was on location in Dubai when this programme was launched with an opening at DXB Concourse B.
Edrington Global Travel Retail Managing Director Suzy Smith said: “Following the unveiling of our boutique in Dubai earlier this year, this opening at Heathrow, in partnership with Dufry, will connect even more whisky-lovers across the world to our home on Speyside.
“As Europe’s busiest airport with over 80 million passengers annually, and with a stellar reputation for delivering first-class retail, Heathrow is an ideal location to offer another gateway to the world of The Macallan.”
