Duty Free World wins new United Airlines inflight concession

US. Duty Free World has been chosen as the new United Air Lines (United/Continental) onboard duty free concessionaire.

Last November United Airlines was issued a single operating certificate with the former Continental Airlines, meaning the end of Continental Airlines. Certain aspects of each airline were not merged until this year.

“This is wonderful news,” Duty Free World President Mayra Del Valle told The Moodie Report.

Miami-based Duty Free World has been United’s concessionaire since 2003.

DFASS was the incumbent duty free retailer for Continental.

United Air Lines ranks as the world’s largest airline in employee terms and second-largest in aircraft numbers.

Through the Star Alliance it offers connections to more than1,000 destinations in over 170 countries worldwide.
