Duty Free Americas raises over US$180,000 for breast cancer research

USA. Duty Free Americas (DFA) has raised over US$180,000 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) through its first ever DFA Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

Held on 17 September at the Weston Hills Country Club in Weston, Florida, the tournament attracted 120 representatives from the travel retail industry and included a full day of golf, cocktail reception and dinner, awards ceremony and silent auction.

DFA and the Falic Family Foundation contributed US$130,000, and the Hard Candy brand of beauty products and related items donated another US$50,000.

“DFA is deeply honoured to have hosted this event benefiting BCRF, and we want to thank all of the companies and organisations who sponsored and contributed to this worthy cause and who helped make this day such a success,” said DFA Chief Executive Officer Jerome Falic.

“Our work in support of the fight to end breast cancer is an important way for us and our partners to give back to the community,” he added.
