UAE/INTERNATIONAL. Dubai Duty Free’s Sinead El Sibai has been presented with an award at the Global Women Leaders Conference recognising her role in sports management.
Senior Vice President of Marketing El Sibai received the ‘Women Leader in Sports Excellence Award’ at the 21st Middle East Women Leaders Excellence Awards, which was held yesterday (8 March) at the Roda Al Murooj Downtown hotel in Dubai. The event was timed to coincide with International Women’s Day.
El Sibai has been heavily involved in the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, which is owned and organised by Dubai Duty Free, as well as overseas sponsorships such as the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open and major horse racing events both in the UK and Ireland.
Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman and CEO Colm McLoughlin said of the award: “Congratulations to Sinead for this achievement which is another reflection of the hard work and efforts of the team at Dubai Duty Free. Dubai Duty Free is committed to developing the talents of all of our female employees and we are delighted that one of our senior executives was recognised in this way on International Women’s Day.”
The awards ceremony saw a total of 19 awards presented to women executives by H.E. Dena Assaf, United Nations Resident Coordinator, and H.E Dr. Rashid Alleem, Chairman of Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority.
