UAE. Dubai Duty Free officially inaugurated its retail outlet in Riverland Dubai at Dubai Parks and Resorts on Monday 30 October. The shop, which opened in December 2016, is the retailer’s first outlet in downtown Dubai.
Dubai Duty Free and DXB Entertainments executives attended the official opening of the 350sq m shop which is centrally located in the complex. The resort includes Motiongate, Legoland Dubai and Legoland Water Park, Bollywood Parks, Dubai’s second The Irish Village and the Lapita Hotel.
Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman and CEO Colm McLoughlin said during the opening: “We are delighted to open this unique shop in Riverland Dubai in Dubai Parks and Resorts, which opened last December and is attracting an increasing number of visitors. I would like to thank the officials from DXB Entertainments who have helped the team at Dubai Duty Free to ensure a smooth opening of our new retail area. ”
The Dubai Duty Free Shop features an assortment of categories including confectionery, toys, a selection of Irish products as well as a range of Taste of Arabia souvenirs, ensuring a strong sense of place.
A dedicated “Click and Collect” online service is available for overseas visitors as well as a Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise counter.
“It is a privilege for our destination to have the first retail shop of Dubai Duty Free in the city of Dubai and we believe it is a great addition to the offering of Riverland Dubai,” said DXB Entertainments General Manager Retail & Hospitality Ahmed Al Rayyes.
