Dubai Airports tenders T2 food & beverage concessions

UAE. Dubai Airports has launched tenders for seven food & beverage concessions at Dubai International Terminal 2.

The company said: “Dubai Airports is tendering food & beverage units within Terminal 2 to ensure Dubai International remains at the forefront of F&B concepts, delivering the best in food quality, service and satisfaction levels for our ever-demanding customers.”

There are four international coffee/grab&go concepts available in space ranging from 43sq m to 133sq m, located in T2 landside (three units across departures and arrivals) and T2 airside (one).

Dubai Airports has been raising the standard of F&B across the airport in recent years, with T2 the focus of its latest leasing drive

A further Asian grab&go concession is available in 48sq m airside. Dubai Airports said that this should ideally have ‘karak/chai’ options included. It noted: “This unit is ideally located for passengers to grab a bite to eat to take on board or consume at the departure gate. This offer must therefore be extremely fast service with a high-quality healthy offer.”

A 75sq m casual dining outlet airside should also offer an Asian concept. Dubai Airports said: “This must be an affordable entry price point, high volume, food court offer.”

Finally, a 162sq m licensed casual dining unit is located airside, which should offer mid-range pricing on the menu.

Tender documents can be purchased from 26 July to 9 August, with bids due for all contracts by 30 August.

The tenders are open to F&B specialists that have relevant experience, including at least one airport with more than 15 million travellers for a three-year period. They must have a chain of minimum three outlets in the UAE or internationally. And they must show financial, managerial and operational capability, with minimum annual turnover of AED10 million.

Dubai International became the world’s busiest airport for international passengers in 2014 when it welcomed more than 70 million passengers. It has since sealed its position at the top of the list of busiest international hubs with total traffic exceeding 88.2 million passengers in 2017, and an estimated 90.2 million passengers expected in 2018.
