USA. 3Sixty Duty Free & More has opened a new store at Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport Terminal C.
The airport-to-airline-to-omnichannel retailer has responded to a sharp increase in domestic traffic at DFW (currently reported to be the world’s busiest airport), by deploying a range of creative strategies aimed at attracting customers back into its retail locations. These have been hit hard by months of industry-wide upheaval due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Doors officially opened on Saturday, 29 August, welcoming shoppers into an eye-catching store. It has been designed to allow customers to easily interact with different products while creating an elevated retail experience in the largely domestic terminal, served exclusively by American Airlines.
The store showcases a wide assortment of duty paid categories, including perfume and cosmetics, confectionery, and accessories, plus core duty free liquor and tobacco. That variety of offer, supported by aggressive promotions, has already proven to be a winning formula for customers with encouraging sales in the first few days, said 3Sixty.
“The response to COVID-19 is still ongoing,” said 3Sixty Chief Operations Officer Alex Anson. “3Sixty’s ability to quickly adapt and respond to the surge in demand highlights our efforts on remaining nimble, while delivering strategic solutions in the midst of this global crisis.”
