Diverse Flavours to display wide range of South African wines in Cannes

Diverse Flavours, the South African wine specialist, will showcase a number of its wine ranges at the upcoming TFWA World Conference & Exhibition in Cannes (Red Village, L34).

These include Avondale, whose wine estate is situated on the slopes of the Klein Drakenstein mountains close to the South African town of Paarl. The winery’s range comprises names including Navitas, La Luna, Cyclus, Samsara and Jonty’s Duck Pekin Red/White.

As well as wines by other producers, such as Ghost Corner, Diverse Flavours will be launching a new Shiraz Medium Sweet wine from its own range, 88 Vineyards.

Wines from Cederberg, South Africa’s highest winery at 1,000 metres above sea level, will also be on display. The range includes a Shiraz, a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Sauvignon Blanc and a Chenin Blanc.

Avondale and Cederberg have a number of First and Business Class pouring wines on six of the world’s top ten airlines: ANA, Singapore Airlines, Asiana, Cathay Pacific, Ethiad and Emirates.

The wines of Delaire Graff Estate from South Africa’s Stellenbosch region, billed as “The Jewel of the Cape Winelands”, will also feature. They include Cabernet Franc Rosé, Summercourt Chardonnay and Swartland Reserve Chenin Blanc.

Also on show are Ernie Els wines, the range linked to one of the world’s most famous golfers. Also produced in the Stellenbosch region, the varieties include Signature, Proprietors Blend and Big Easy, the latter including a red, a white and a rosé.

The wines of Ghost Corner from Elim, South Africa’s southernmost winery, will also be on display in Cannes and include a Sauvignon Blanc, a Semillon and a Pinot Noir.

Another wine producer from Diverse Flavours’ stable, Groot Constantia – South Africa’s oldest winery dating back to 1685 – will have its wines showcased including Gouverneurs Reserve White/Red, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinotage varieties.

Kleinood Estate, producers of Tamboerskloof Syrah, Viognier, and Rosé in Stellenbosch, will also feature at the Diverse Flavours stand. The Syrah received 94 Wine Advocate Robert Parker points and is one of South Africa’s top ranked wines.

Another line on show is from Napier Winery, located in Wellington in South Africa’s Western Cape. Its wines include Red Medallion Bordeaux Blend, Catherine Single Vineyard Chardonnay and Greenstone Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc.

The line-up of Diverse Flavours products in Cannes is completed by its own 88 Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot Medium Sweet wines. During the TFWA event, the brand will also be launching its 88 Vineyards Shiraz Medium Sweet wine.
