The new stores houses a range of over 290 sunglasses lines |
INDIA. DFS Group, the world’s leading luxury goods travel retailer, has opened its first store dedicated to luxury watches and sunglasses at Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal 3). As we reported last week, the company recently made its debut at Delhi, with the new luxury goods store complemented by a Tumi boutique in T3.
The watches and sunglasses outlet offers a range of over 290 sunglasses and over 275 fashion watches. GMR Delhi International Airport said: “This is a unique concept and a first in India.”
The store offers a broad range of leading sunglasses brands including Dior, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada, Emporio Armani, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Burberry and Oakley, among others. The products are priced between US$70 and US$400 duty free.
The major watch brands present are Swatch, Emporio Armani, Fossil, Guess, DKNY, Diesel, Michael Kors, Anne Klein and Adidas, plus many others. Duty free pricing for the watch range is between US$50 and US$400.
GMR Delhi International Airport was ranked second in the world by ACI’s Airport Service Quality rankings last year in the 25-40 million passengers category. The airport said it plays host to over 500 brands and is one of Asia’s fastest growing travel retail destinations.
