Desigual and Dufry set sail on summer marketing partnership

Barcelona fashion house Desigual teamed up with Dufry over summer for an incentive scheme called The Desigual Sailing Experience.

The initiative was designed to reward shoppers with a unique experience, generate digital engagement and drive sales in participating Dufry stores.

 

Passengers flying from Tenerife Sur, Lanzarote, Palma de Mallorca and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria airports, who made purchases over a certain threshold at Dufry’s Desigual stores and corners, could enjoy a complimentary sailing trip around Barcelona’s port and surrounding coastline. The trip was made on an authentic wooden schooner fully customised by Desigual.

Two sailing trips were offered: an adventurer’s journey that took them along the Barcelona coast with views of the city skyline including Desigual’s headquarters on the beachfront or a more relaxing voyage around the city port. Shoppers were then encouraged to share this special experience on social media with the hashtag #DesigualBCN.
