Coty has extended Lacoste’s signature L.12.12 line by revealing eaux de parfums for men and women.

The L.12.12 Eau de Parfum Blanc for Him and L.12.12 Eau de Parfum Rose for Her were launched in European travel retail on 1 March, with a roll-out planned for Americas travel retail in April and Asia Pacific travel retail in May.

The original L.12.12 Blanc for men is a fresh fragrance that opens with juicy grapefruit and spicy Cardamom top notes, followed by Vetiver heart notes and velvety Suede Accord as its base.

Not just muses: Five talented brand ambassadors, from different creative backgrounds, come together for the striking fragrance campaign

The two new fragrances were created by Firmenich Perfumers Marie Salamagne and Ane Ayo. They take inspiration from the brand’s emblematic tennis polo shirt, originally created by tennis player René Lacoste in the 1920s, and reinterpreted by Lacoste Creative Director Louise Trotter in the modern day.

The L.12.12 Eau de Parfum Blanc for Him offers sparkling citrus and lime top notes, fresh Eucalyptus heart notes and spicy Cedar and Cardamom base notes.

The L.12.12. Eau de Parfum Rose for Her opens with floral Frangipane and Rose top notes, green Mandarin and Mint heart notes, and Musk and Ambrette base notes.

Reimagining a tennis icon: The L.12.12 fragrances pay homage to Lacoste’s signature petit piqué polo shirt

The two fragrance bottles — in white for men and baby pink for women —  feature the same waffled texture as the Lacoste ‘petit piqué’ polo shirt. They also mimic the polo’s athleisure silhouette and is decorated with a metallic ring,  representing the polo’s collar piping. The flaçon also features the brand’s embroidered crocodile logo which comes in grey or pink for the edp and green for the edt.

The launch is supported by a dedicated fragrance campaign that features a talented crew of Lacoste brand ambassadors. These are Ivorian/German model Désiré Quadjo Mia, French-American model Maeva Giani Marshall, French ballerina Hortense de Gromard, French BMX World Champion Matthias Dandois and French dancer Salif Gueye.

The five Lacoste L.12.12 brand ambassadors, who come from radically different creative backgrounds, come together for the striking visual campaign. Each ambassador wears a different Lacoste polo shirt, representing their own individual style.
