Coindrum continues European expansion with Brussels Airport launch

BELGIUM. International Duty Free has installed Coindrum self-service currency exchange units in all terminals at Brussels International Airport.

Coindrum has already partnered with Dufry and ARI at airports around Europe, and said further contracts at hub locations had been signed.

The Coindrum machines allow passengers to deposit leftover coins before departure and receive a duty free shopping voucher worth 10% more than the deposited coins.

International Duty Free CEO Nicolas Van Brandt said: “We place customers at the centre of everything we do which is why we have now added Coindrum as an additional service.”

Coindrum Founder Lukas Decker said the company would continue its growth trajectory. “Coindrum is about to achieve critical mass where passengers are expecting to use the service when they travel,” he said.

“We receive countless inquiries from passengers where they can find our units in airports, a great sign that we have a lot more work to do.”
