Coccinelle takes inspiration from the Metaverse for 2023/24 collection

Italian womenswear and accessories house Coccinelle has revealed its Fall/Winter 2023/24 collection, featuring a Metaverse-couture which the brand describes as “the retro-future convergence between analogical and virtual reality”.

Handheld or over the shoulder, in mini/medium/maxi versions, both bags stand out for their compactness, attention to detail and comfort

The new range includes the Coccinelle Himma, a handbag that features a new ergonomic effect and a closure in the shape of the brand’s signature metal plectrum.

The plectrum is also back as the main feature in a hammered metal effect on the suede bag Coccinelle Priscilla, which is characterised by a double bellows, and in the closure of the line Coccinelle Magie, with its curvy profile.

The brand has also introduced the Coccinelle Soft-Wear cabas to its new collection. It is soft, unstructured and light, through refinement of the leathers.

Made of grained leather and suede is the multi-pocket utility bag Coccinelle Hyle, while the new Coccinelle Beat highlights its mirror-effect and rainbow leather.

The new collection is displayed at the company showroom in Via Forcella 5, Milan. The Metaverse-themed presentation here allows guests to immerse themselves in a fluid and reflective space, with shades of pink, the essential topic of colour. Adding to the mood are screens that project the images of the collection within a virtual panorama together with a DJ set.

The novelty of this Fall/Winter 2023 collection is the presentation of a new product category, footwear.

The new footwear line ranges from moccasins to leather boots featuring leather materials and details of the signature Coccinelle closures. To complete the collection, the brand has also released trainers, ankle boots and décolleté.

In addition to small leathergoods and footwear, the Coccinelle Fall/Winter 2023/24 collection also includes a fashion jewellery capsule. The pieces are made in Italy by a Tuscan company that uses only strictly recycled, and include bijoux in eco-friendly and hypoallergenic brass.

Among the jewellery pieces in the collection are golden flashes for bracelets, necklaces and chains that reinterpret the plectrum and the C logo with technicolour water-based enamels. ✈
