US. CMSC Spirits is introducing its new premium spirit product, Love Potion #9, at the IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas (Stand number: 505).
Love Potion #9 is a 60-proof, smooth, no grain alcohol (30% pure sugarcane alcohol) ‘distilled spirits specialty’ that was developed over five years. It underwent almost 1,800 trial-and-error formulations before its blend of 20 exotic tropical fruit flavours, including mango, peach, chocolate, vanilla, pear, apple, cherry, and almond, was perfected.

Sweet, aromatic and mixable, Love Potion #9 can be consumed straight, on the rocks or added to cocktails. Its flavour may also accentuate fruit juices, mixers, sodas, and other spirits such as vodka, tequila, rum, and even cream liqueurs.
“It is so delicately balanced, no one fruit flavour dominates,” said CMSC Spirits President Tina LoBosco, who will be present at the IAADFS show with National Sales Manager Doug Hipp.
“What makes Love Potion #9 so unique is that it tastes different every time. It’s an unpredictable and exciting spirit that brings out passion and romance when served straight up or added to classic cocktails.
“It can also be used as the base spirit for countless new and exciting cocktail recipes, many of which will be included in a cocktail and recipe booklet attached to the neck of each 375ml and 750ml bottle. Like love itself, you’re only limited by your imagination in finding new and exciting ways to experience Love Potion #9,” she said.
Love Potion #9 will begin shipping to retailers in May.
In addition, CMSC Spirits will also showcase its Spirit of Liberty Bourbon Cream Liqueur at the show.
The Spirit of Liberty is presented in a replica of the Statue of Liberty decanter. Its unique presentation makes it one of the fastest-selling liqueurs in the duty free shops at New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport, as well as other duty free shops throughout the US eastern seaboard, the company claimed.

There are two collectable Statue of Liberty bottle sizes: the 9-inch tall 100ml, and the 17.5-inch tall 750ml, as well as an easy-pour 750ml round bottle. The Spirit of Liberty is available in a gift set consisting of one 100ml Statue Bottle and one 750ml easy-pour bottle in plastic clamshell packaging, which are “incredibly fast selling retail and duty free products” according to the company.
Introduced in 2005, The Spirit of Liberty was awarded the Silver Medal in the 2006 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and was the winner of the 2009 World Spirits Competition Platinum Medal.
