Chocolat Frey expands travel retail team as Jacques Isler retires

Chocolat Frey has appointed two new members to the travel retail team, in a bid to strengthen its presence in travel retail and in the Middle East and Americas.

Gillian Hawsby is appointed Regional Sales Manager Middle East. Based in Abu Dhabi, she has been working for premium luxury perfume and cosmetics companies in the travel retail market in the Middle East for over 20 years.

Philippe Guiol

Philippe Guiol is appointed Regional Sales Manager Americas. He is based in Miami and has also spent most of his career in the North and Latin American travel retail market. Hailing from the accessories and sunglasses category, he is said to have successfully introduced several brands into the market.

They both report to Chocolat Frey Head of Travel Retail Claudia Rosenberg, based in Switzerland. Both appointments are effective from 1 April.

“I’m extremely thrilled to have Gillian and Philippe joining the team. They both know their markets very well and both will definitely contribute largely to enhancing our relationships with our existing and new customers in the region,” said Rosenberg.

“We are focused on working closer and in a partnering manner with our customers in order to build our joint business to its full potential,” she added.

Jacques Isler, Export Manager Travel Retail, will retire end of May, after a long and successful career in the industry. He has been responsible for various key accounts in different markets and supported the Frey brand from its beginning in 2008. He will be replaced in the interim by Claudia Rosenberg until his successor is announced.

“It was rewarding and a pleasure working together with Jacques. We will miss him, not only as a professional and colleague, but also as a friend. We wish him continued satisfaction and success in his future activities and thank him for all he has done for Chocolat Frey during the last nine years,” Rosenberg said.
