‘Chờ bay vẫn mê say!’ (Boarding not boring) – IPP Travel Retail opens renovated TR Galleria at Tan Son Nhat Airport

VIETNAM. IPP Travel Retail unveiled its newly renovated store – branded TR Galleria by IPP Travel Retail – at Tan Son Nhat International Airport’s domestic Terminal 1 on Friday. This is the company’s second recent refurbishment at the country’s busiest gateway. A third new-look store will follow in coming weeks said IPP Travel Retail CEO Phillip Nguyen.

Further major upgrades are set for Hanoi and Da Nang with IPP brand partners, he added.

The slogan ‘Chờ bay vẫn mê say!’ (Boarding not boring) sums up IPP Travel Retail’s determination to bring excitement to the domestic offer at Vietnam’s airports

“After 28 months as the team leader of IPP Travel Retail (a member of IPP Group), l am proud to say that we are changing the landscape in travel retail in Vietnam,” Nguyen commented.

“I am thankful to the team and partners for the hard work they have given to bring the best experience to passengers in Tan Son Nhat International Airport.”

Nguyen told The Moodie Davitt Report, “We simplified how we presented the categories to the domestic passenger. We are applying learnings from the duty free industry and localising it to the Vietnamese market. Our strategy moving forward is to simplify.

“Our commitment to ACV [Airports Corporation of Vietnam] and airport operators is to bring in newness to the domestic portfolio. The Vietnamese deserve the best and our aim is to provide the best.”

Note: Look out later this month for a major profile of IPP Travel Retail and an extraordinary interview with Phillip Nguyen’s father, IPP Group Founder & Chairman Johnathan Hanh Nguyen, a legendary figure in Vietnam’s aviation, tourism, luxury and travel retail circles.
