Celebratory spirit: Mumbai Duty Free launches its fourth Whiskey Festival

INDIA. Mumbai Duty Free has launched its fourth Whiskey Festival at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

The Whiskey Festival campaign, which targets Diwali and festive shopping, started last month in Terminal 2 Mumbai Duty Free arrivals and departures stores. It continues until December.

It features leading brands including Johnnie Walker, Glenfiddich, Jack Daniel’s, The Macallan, Chivas Regal and The Glenlivet. Taiwanese whisky is also highlighted; and customers are also encouraged to sample super-premium spirits such as Talisker 18yo and The Singleton 18yo.

The festival offers shoppers discounts, cash-back deals and, for seven lucky couples, the opportunity to win international travel.

Customers have the opportunity to get to know local and international brands

Customers spending more than INR6,000 (US$85) receive a complimentary customer rewards envelope containing discount vouchers from premium downtown brands. These offers include discounts on flights and hotels from MakeMyTrip; a Vodafone voucher which is redeemable at Mumbai Duty Free stores; a 15% discount from Trip XOXO on local and international holiday experiences; and a three-month subscription for the ‘All-City Pack’ on the Dineout App by Gourmet Passport.

India’s leading whisky brand Amrut is also taking part in the promotion and offering two lucky winners the opportunity to visit its distillery.

Local Indian malt whiskies are also highlighted in the festival which will run until December

To promote the festival the Mumbai Duty Free stores have adopted a distillery/tavern theme featuring whiskey barrels, cut outs of bar elements, posters and banners and digital and 3D signage.
