Burberry Hero: Coty reveals new masculine fragrance from Burberry

The fragrance will be available in Asia Pacific and Europe travel retail on 1 August, followed by Americas travel retail in November

Coty has revealed Burberry Hero, the new masculine fragrance from Burberry. Burberry Hero will be available in Asia Pacific and Europe travel retail on 1 August, with a planned roll-out for Americas travel retail in November.

Burberry Hero offers juniper and black pepper top notes, sparkling bergamot heart notes and warm cedarwood notes as its base. It was developed by Perfumer Aurélien Guichard.

Guichard said: “Burberry Hero represents the duality between strength and sensibility. A scent that represents the timelessness of Burberry and, at the same time, the sense of modernity. A blend of universality and uniqueness. The scent expresses the animality that is inside each man alongside a true humanity.”

The Burberry Hero bottle features an angular silhouette inspired by the horse’s hoof, which is also represented in the Burberry logo. The bottle also features the Thomas Burberry Monogram, a signature design detail for the brand and a reference to the founder of the fashion house.

The scent is available in 50ml, 100ml and 150ml eau de toilettes. In addition, it is available as an aftershave balm, hair and body wash and deodorant.

The Burberry Hero campaign stars American actor Adam Driver, who is most known for his role as Kylo Ren in the Star Wars film franchise. The Academy Award-nominated actor has also appeared in films Marriage Story, BlacKkKlansman and The Dead Don’t Die.

The campaign challenges traditional notions of masculinity and seeks to recreate the modern masculine myth. It features powerful imagery of Driver on a horse on the coastline and was shot by Italian Fashion Photographer Mario Sorrenti.
