Brown-Forman has extended its single malt Scotch whisky collection with the launch of The Glendronach Forgue 10yo.
It is the Glendronach Distillery’s first global travel shopping-exclusive expression. The GlenDronach Distillery, which is located near Forgue in the Highland whisky district, is one of Scotland’s oldest and most respected distilleries. It was founded in 1826 by James Allardice; its name means ‘Valley of the Brambles’ in Scots Gaelic.
The GlenDronach Forgue 10yo is aged in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. It is bottled at 43%ABV and is non-chill filtered which allows it to absorb a natural colour as it matures in Spanish oak casks.
Master Blender Rachel Barrie described the new expression as a “richly-sherried” single malt with an “unashamedly Highland character”. Its tastes include bramble fruit and oak, with notes of barley said to reflect the Forgue Valley’s fertile landscape.
The Brown-Forman portfolio of travel retail-exclusive single malts includes BenRiach Quarter Cask, BenRiach Quarter Cask Peated and BenRiach 10yo Triple Distilled.

Brown-Forman Senior Vice President and Managing Director Global Travel Retail Marshall Farrer said The GlenDronach Single Malt will be a “terrific” addition to the company’s portfolio.
