FRANCE/UK. The Moodie Davitt Virtual Expo Company and leading B2B beauty title BW Confidential have progressed exciting plans to unveil Beauty Tech Live — a pioneering virtual event that will showcase the joint worlds of beauty and technology — on 12-16 April, 2021 (note new dates).

The trade event is the first virtual expo of its kind in the sector, bringing together the latest tech innovations and solutions across all stakeholders in the beauty industry. As with the hugely successful Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo held in October, Beauty Tech Live will also feature a one-month follow-up showcase.

Beauty Tech Live is the first Virtual Expo that will bring together in one place the latest tech innovations and solutions for the beauty industry

Beauty Tech Live is the latest event organised outside travel retail by the newly formed Moodie Davitt Virtual Expo Company  (Moodie Davitt International Pte Ltd). It follows the announcement of World of Spirits Virtual Expo — to be held on 17-23 May and Summit of the Americas, a partnership with trade associations IAADFS and ASUTIL (5-8 April).

Moodie Davitt has once again teamed up with Singapore-and London-based FILTR as the event’s virtual stand curation and experience partners. FILTR will provide an individual account manager for each exhibitor in the creation of their virtual stands as well as crafting the ambitious schematic design and digital architecture of the Expo.

BW Confidential Editor in Chief Oonagh Phillips says the event is perfectly timed to cater to the heightened demand for digitalisation and innovation in the beauty industry

Beauty Tech Live will consist of three main hubs: The Exhibition Hub, Knowledge Hub and Experience Hub.

The goal of Beauty Tech Live is to help the industry keep up with this this fast pace of digital transformation, navigate the changes and seize the opportunities that lie ahead

The Exhibition Hub is a platform for industry executives to discover new tools and products to connect and engage with customers in an increasingly digital landscape. It will feature leading-edge beauty products and services in the retail, online selling, engagement, product discovery, supply chain and data management sectors.

Beauty Tech Live will take place virtually from 12-16 April 2021, with a 30-day follow-up showcase

The Knowledge Hub will host a series of thought-leading conferences, panel discussions, talks and case studies from beauty industry innovators and disruptors. It will cover some of the most important trends and topics in the beauty industry.

The Experience Hub will shine the light on the latest applications of beauty technology, featuring a series of interactive digital events, beauty demonstrations and workshops.

“There has never been a better time, nor more of a need for Beauty Tech Live,” commented BW Confidential Editor in Chief Oonagh Phillips. “Tech is driving the business of beauty. Tech is transforming product creation, selling, marketing and companies’ sustainability goals, and it will be instrumental in rebooting beauty post-COVID-19 and getting the market back to growth. The goal of Beauty Tech Live is to help the industry keep up with this this fast pace of digital transformation and seize the opportunities that lie ahead.”

Beauty Tech Live will see the Moodie Davitt Virtual Expo Company partner again with FILTR, this time in a joint venture with BW Confidential

Phillips added, “We are impressed by the format of, and the technology behind the first Virtual Travel Retail Expo organised by the Moodie Davitt Virtual Expo Company, and by the top brands and high level of executives they attracted to this event. We are enthused to be working with such a creative company on this new initiative.”

Moodie Davitt Virtual Expo Company Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie added, “There is a strong appetite for the virtual expo format, which we have seen from the overwhelming response to our inaugural Virtual Travel Retail Expo.

“Our format for Beauty Tech Live will be the perfect setting for demonstrating the latest technologies and innovations relating to Beauty Tech. The event will be key for executives who want to better integrate tech into their strategy to respond to consumer needs, anticipate market shifts and trends and prepare for the future.”
