Autogrill unveils new-look ‘Foodland’ offer at Zürich

The Autogrill-operated Foodland offers seven concepts under one roof

SWITZERLAND. Autogrill has unveiled a major renovation of its Foodland food & beverage concept at Zürich Airport, featuring seven different restaurants under one roof.

Foodland opened nine years ago and offers a mix of Autogrill brands such as Pizza&Pasta and Café Presto alongside well-known brands such as McDonald’s and Nordsee.

“Together with our partner Autogrill we have developed the new Foodland as a response to the changing demands of our customers but also to set new gastronomic trends,” said Ullrich Wolf, Food and Beverage Manager at Zürich Airport.

Autogrill said: “Seven different restaurants fit harmoniously into the newly designed food court concept. The rather reduced design in modern white gives a sophisticated and stylish look while leaving room for the variety of colourful food offerings, openly presented in a free flow open kitchen concept.”

Pizza and pasta, Asian wok items, fresh sushi, crispy salads, fine fish and fast food is freshly made in front of customers. The meals from each restaurant can be mixed and matched to suit different tastes. Customers can eat their food in one of the adjoining seating areas or take it away.

Autogrill has also presented newly developed restaurant concepts including one that responds to the trend towards healthier eating, with fresh salads and low-calorie menus. Another new concept includes Umaizushi, said to be an authentic high quality sushi concept.

“Our investments have paid off,” said Daniel Summermatter, Area Manager for Autogrill. “We are +15% above last year and we realise that customers like the concepts.”

“Autogrill and Zürich Airport will continue to inspire customers with new restaurant concepts and set trends,” added Maximilian Schiedt, Director of Marketing at Autogrill, Switzerland.
