Areas brings gourmet to the fore in latest Barcelona–El Prat Airport opening

SPAIN. Areas has opened a new Sibarium Delicatessen outlet at Barcelona–El Prat Airport.

The 62sq m store is located in Terminal 2 (pictured below). It offers gourmet products such as sausage, ham, cheese, oil, spices, honey, jams and sweets, as well as regional specialities and beverages.

Areas already operates two Sibarium Delicatessen stores at the airport, both in Terminal 1. One of them only opened a few weeks ago. The company has 10 Sibarium outlets in total across Spanish airports.

Two other new openings are planned for this year: at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas and Valencia airports.

The two Sibarium Delicatessen openings in Barcelona are not part of the 15 concessions won by Areas in the recent Aena tenders at the airport.
