Airport Pharmacy opens new Brisbane Airport store after extending contract

AUSTRALIA. Airport Pharmacy has opened a new 180sq m space at Brisbane Airport after extending its contract at the location. Airport Pharmacy first opened there in 2012 and said that its largest store yet “in the new retail precinct further strengthens this long-standing partnership”.

Of the new store, Airport Pharmacy Group Director Rajiv Bhindi said the company has “high expectations in terms of turnover, retail design, visual appearance and customer experience”.

He added: “It is designed to respond to the unique retail environment of Brisbane Airport, and we hope that this store will be a vibrant and positive addition to the Brisbane Airport retail landscape.”

The Airport Pharmacy concept was established in 2007 at Adelaide Airport and today its network includes stores at Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns and Gold Coast, as well as Singapore Changi Airport T4.

The company describes itself as a travel retailer rather than a pharmacy retailer operating inside an airport, saying it aims to deliver a retail experience on par with other category specialists in the channel.
