URUGUAY. Taking care of every corner of Uruguay and making decisions when travelling that respect the environment and people are the key messages of a new sustainability campaign launched by Aeropuertos Uruguay.
The campaign – named ‘Uruguayans by Nature’ – has the support of the Uruguayan Ministry of Tourism. It is a commitment from the airport company to encourage foreign tourists and all people entering the country to enjoy natural beauty and the environment “by making responsible decisions with their care”.

Aeropuertos Uruguay – which is part of the global airport group Corporación América Airports – said the initiative is about involving all the stakeholders linked to the aviation sector to transform the country into a destination that is committed to sustainable tourism and promotes attitudes and good practices to take care of the environment.
The campaign has been presented within the framework of the fifth Sustainability Report of Corporación América Airports in Uruguay. The publication reviews the work of the company during the 2021-2022 period, highlighting the milestones and achievements of the last two years.

Corporación América Airports in Uruguay CEO Diego Arrosa said: “Guided by our purpose and by a deep commitment to the country, these years were full of learning, challenges, and above all opportunities to continue contributing to the development of our country and its people.”
In its Sustainability Report, prepared following the Standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) using the latest GRI 2021 Universal Standards, the company gives an account of the different actions, projects and initiatives it has carried out. It is framed within its contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) presented by the United Nations in 2015.
