AdVini appoints Christophe Balaÿ as Commercial Manager Travel Retail

Leading French terroir wines specialist AdVini has announced the appointment of Christophe Balaÿ as Commercial Manager Travel Retail, effective October 1.

Balaÿ has previously held similar positions at other significant firms in both the perfume & cosmetics and wine & spirits sectors.

His responsibilities include sales and activation with new duty free and travel retail operators, as well as suppliers to airlines, cruise lines and ferries, the company explained. It said that he will work closely with existing commercial teams both in France and abroad.

AdVini said that the appointment is part of its 2020 Strategic Plan, which considers global travel retail as a crucial market for growing its footprint as the leader of French terroir wines.

The company commented: “Travel retail is considered a fundamental channel in order to drive sales development but also to recruit new consumers and build Premium image for priority brands.”

AdVini explained the appointment as part of a plan to “develop new contacts with a special focus on the Americas and Asia.”

The AdVini portfolio includes Ogier Clos de L’Oratoire, Laroche, and Antoine Moueix Propriétés. The company owns 2,333 hectares of vineyards across France and is also present in South Africa, with 200 hectares, and in Chile with 150.

Christophe Balaÿ will be present at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes at the AdVini stand (Bay Village, 13).
