TÜRKIYE. Italian winery and distillery Bottega has opened a Prosecco Bar at Istanbul Airport. The bar & restaurant is located in the international departure area’s Luxury Hall, close to the boutiques of leading fashion brands.
Bottega hailed the Prosecco Bar’s prestigious location at one of the world’s major hubs, where traffic has been increasing rapidly over the past year.
“Our location is next to those of brands rich in prestige and tradition. This is an undeniable driver to further consolidate Bottega’s brand awareness and to promote our country’s food and wine culture” – Bottega President Sandro Bottega

Bottega President Sandro Bottega said: “The opening of a Prosecco Bar within Istanbul Airport is strategic, as this airport has exponentially increased the number of flights and transit passengers in just a few years.
“It is a nerve centre between Europe and Asia. Our location is situated next to those of brands rich in prestige and tradition. This is an undeniable driver to further consolidate Bottega’s brand awareness and to promote our country’s food and wine culture in an exceptional context in the name of taste and the Bottega Bacaro philosophy.”
The Bottega Prosecco Bar concept was created by Sandro Bottega and launched in 2014, on board the Viking Group’s Cinderella. Its network now offers over 30 locations including airports, railway stations, cruise ships and hotels.
It evokes the tradition of the Venetian bacaro, an informal tavern style of dining at the counter and at tables. Bottega’s ‘Perfect Match’ combines typical Italian regional cuisines with the brand’s wines, which include Prosecco, sparkling wines and notable reds (Amarone, Brunello di Montalcino, Ripasso, Bolgheri), dessert wines, and a selection of grappas, together with a range of fruit and cream-based liqueurs.
In recent years, the Prosecco Bar offer has been expanded to include signature cocktails, created ad hoc by bartenders, organic wines and, more recently, alcohol-free sparkling wines.
