‘A modern take on masculinity’: Salvatore Ferragamo unveils global campaign for new male fragrance

Ferragamo: a new fragrance pillar for the brand

Salvatore Ferragamo has unveiled its new ‘Ferragamo’ menswear fragrance, accompanied by a global media campaign starring British actor Hero Fiennes Tiffin.

The campaign – which launched on 18 January – features across all of Salvatore Ferragamo’s stores, media outlets, digital and social media platforms.

The new Ferragamo fragrance was created by Salvatore Ferragamo Creative Director Paul Andrew and represents a new fragrance pillar for the brand.

According to the company, the new media campaign mirrors the ‘evolution of its aesthetic codes’ and represents Salvatore Ferragamo’s ‘modern take on masculinity.’

“I want to be the best version of myself. I want to do everything I love, as best as I can” – Ferragamo Global Brand Ambassador Hero Fiennes Tiffin

The new Ferragamo fragrance was created by perfumer Antoine Maisondieu and was inspired by Salvatore Ferragamo’s Italian roots and craftsmanship heritage. It offers Mediterranean citrus, bergamot and lemon top notes, followed by floral violet heart notes, and leather musk and vetiver base notes.

The new Ferragamo fragrance bottle showcases some of the brand’s most recognisable design codes including its signature ‘Gancini buckle’.

The flacon’s shape was inspired by an urban skyscraper and features a vertical navy band displaying the logo.

Aside from the Eau de Toilette, the new Ferragamo scent also comes in After Shave Balm and Shampoo and Shower Gel formats.

The campaign film was shot by British/Canadian filmmaker Gordon Von Steiner, while the campaign visuals were shot by Fashion Photographer Luca Khouri. The film begins with Fiennes Tiffin asking the audience “who do you want to be?” amidst a background of skyscrapers, as different aspects of his character are slowly revealed.

As reported, Fiennes-Tiffin is best known for his roles as ‘Hardin Scott’ in the Netflix original film ‘After’ and as young Tom Riddle in the Harry Potter film franchise.

The 22 year old actor recently won the award for ‘Choice Drama Movie Actor’ in the 2019 Teen Choice Awards for his work in After.
