INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to the digital, iPad-compatible version of The Moodie Davitt Report Print Edition for July/August 2016, available in full – editorial and advertising.

This edition brings you our unique annual ranking of the world’s top 25 travel retailers, measured by their latest annual turnover (2015), stated in Euros.

Dufry Group (acquirer of World Duty Free Group and The Nuance Group) cements its leading position, with DFS in second place, Lotte Duty Free in third, with Lagardère Travel Retail and Gebr Heinemann making up the top five. But the big talking point is the performance of King Power International Group (Thailand), which shoots up three places to seventh after a stellar year built on an outstanding service to booming Chinese visitor numbers.

The full list takes account of both duty free and duty paid sales, as well as speciality (not just core category duty free) stores – and it is essential reading for anyone doing business with the world’s biggest travel retailers.

There’s plenty more besides our Top 25 in this Print Edition too. We bring you a full review of the recent Airport Food & Beverage Conference and Awards, which took place in Geneva. That includes a comprehensive conference report plus full results from the coveted annual FAB Awards – a showcase for excellence in travel F&B.

Also in this edition, we take a tour of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Lounge 2 and Eurotrade’s new-look stores at Munich Airport; we update you on Oslo Airport’s ambitious T2 development, and we speak to industry pioneer George Horan upon his retirement as President of Dubai Duty Free.

Please enjoy this Print Edition with our compliments.
