INDIA. Trinity Forum host GVK Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport has celebrated International Yoga Day with a series of workshops in Terminal 2.
The workshops offered advice on the benefits of practising yoga and were presented by experts in the field. Short meditation programmes were included. They were held on 21 June in Domestic and International Departures.
Passengers were notified of the workshops via social media and information displays throughout the airport terminals.
Other yogic sessions are available at the airport as it aims to “engage travellers and redefine their experiences”.
A spokesman for the airport said: “The International Yoga Day workshop was intended to apprise travellers about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle irrespective of a bustling routine.
“Mumbai International Airport strives to ensure a tranquil, serene voyage for its travellers. Following the recent modernisation of the airport, world-class hospitality and concierge services irrevocably became the cornerstones of [the airport’s] policies.”
