Best foot forward: Tasa Meng unveils athletics track at Taoyuan International to support university games

TAIWAN. Tasa Meng Duty Free has unveiled athletics track-inspired decorations at Taoyuan International Airport’s Terminal 2 departure hall in support of the Taipei Universiade.

Taipei is the host city for the 2017 edition of the international multi-sport event for university athletes, which is organised by the International University Sports Federation (FISU).

Tasa Meng has partnered with Taoyuan International Airport Corporation for the transformation in the north wing of Terminal 2.

On 15 August, a special event was held to mark the launch of the decorations and entertain travellers. It included a cheerleading performance and a relay race featuring members of both Tasa Meng Duty Free and Taoyuan International Airport Corporation.

The opening ceremony for the Taipei Universiade took place on 19 August, with the closing ceremony to be held on 30 August

Attendees of the event included Taoyuan International Airport Corporation Senior Vice President Mr. Dan Chao-bi; Taoyuan City Government Deputy Director, Department of Sports Mr. Fang; Taipei City Government Deputy Secretary General – Secretariat Ms. Li Wen Ying; Hope Cultural and Educational Foundation President and former Taiwanese track and field athlete Miss Cheng Chi; Tasa Meng Corporation Chairman Nancy Ku; and Tasa Meng Taoyuan Branch General Manager Miss Jennifer Chen.
