Angelini Beauty takes an Italian icon to Cannes

Angelini Beauty has extended its Trussardi fragrance franchise with new Trussardi Uomo The Red. It will be highlighted at TFWA World Exhibition (Riviera Village, RD9 and RE13).

Trussardi Uomo The Red, the new Trussardi Parfums fragrance for men, was created by Aurélien Guichard. It is described as ‘unequivocally masculine’; an eau de toilette with the intensity of an eau de parfum.

The woody, floral spicy fragrance features top notes of lemon, nutmeg and cognac accord. A heart of geranium, violet leaves and clary sage mirrors that of the original Trussardi Uomo. The dry down blends tonka bean, patchouli and leather.

The scent, presented in a red bottle designed to evoke a glass of Burgundy, is topped with an opaque black zamak trim and cap. A red velvet box embossed with gold houses the bottle of eau de toilette which will be available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml sizes.

The other two Trussardi scents, Trussardi Uomo and Trussardi Donna, first launched in 2011 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Italian brand. Packaged in a classic juxtaposition of black and white, Trussardi Uomo is a woody fougère and Trussardi Donna a floral oriental.

A new advertising campaign has been created to bring a fresh image to the range. Models Alisa Ahmann and Tomas Skoloudik, representing the two fragrances, tell the story of a love affair between two strong personalities bound by an unbreakable bond.

The soundtrack, featuring the song Is it over? No, not yet by The Good Company, was conceived and coordinated by Trussardi Creative Director Gaia Trussardi. The visuals were shot by Cuneyt Akeroglu – an up and coming Turkish fashion photographer whose work has appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair and Vogue.
