Zürich Airport strikes deal with IDeaS for new parking solution

SWITZERLAND. IDeaS Revenue Solutions has agreed a contract with Zürich Airport to implement its Car Park Revenue Management System (CPRMS). The system will help to optimise income across 15,000 car parking spaces.

The revenue management software and services specialist said it will help the airport to transition from using a complex, manual pricing approach to an automated and more dynamic pricing environment. This will deliver revenue-enhancing decisions directly to the platform ADVAM AltitudeReservation.

Zürich Airport welcomed over 31 million passengers in 2018 and is home to 15,000 parking spaces

IDeaS claims that its solution will drive more profitable parking business performance by using predictive analytics to produce data-driven pricing decisions.

IDeaS head of global sales Guy Barnes said: “We see growing recognition by airports that investing in a revenue management solution is necessary to realise the next level in revenue growth from their parking operations.

“I am thrilled Zürich Airport has placed its trust in IDeaS. With this partnership, Zürich becomes the first airport in the DACH region to grasp this significant revenue opportunity, and we are excited to help them lead the way.”

Zürich Airport parking and mobility director Ronny Grau, said that IDeaS’ CPRMS will help the airport to grow its pre-booked parking business faster. He added: “As we begin the next phase of our revenue management journey, we are confident that investing in more sophisticated technology will drive better revenues by forecasting and optimising demand across our car parks in a way we never could before.”

IDeaS delivers revenue solutions to more than 11,000 clients in 129 countries.
