The impressive Dufry Haute Parfumerie store is among the latest additions to the Zurich Airport retail offer as commercial performance roars back in 2023

SWITZERLAND. Zurich Airport retail and dining turnover reached CHF61.1 million (US$69.7 million) in July, an increase of +12.6% year-on-year. Importantly, this represented a +4.7% increase on the CHF58.5 million figure recorded in July 2019.

The year-on-year rise was driven by a +17.8% leap in airside sales, with landside up by +5.5%.

Airside spend per departing passenger was CHF25.10 (US$28.63), up by +1.8% on July last year.

Passenger traffic in the month reached 2.9 million, up by +15.7% year-on-year. This was 92.6% of the number achieved in July 2019. For the first seven months, retail and dining turnover reached CHF343 million (US$391 million), up by +25.9% on the same period last year, with airside sales rising by +34.8%. Airside spend per passenger slipped by -2.1% to CHF23.80 (US$27.14). Passenger traffic leapt +37.7% year-on-year in the period to 16 million. ✈
