World’s largest Hudson store to open at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International amid big retail upgrade

USA. Dufry-owned Hudson Group is to open the world’s largest Hudson store in 5,000sq ft at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. ATL Shops by Hudson will house travel essentials as well as shop-in-shop units from Hudson’s brands Ink by Hudson (books) and Sweet Indulgences (confectionery).

Hudson said the move was part of its drive to convert its travel essentials and convenience locations to Hudson stores. The openings are part of a mid-term refurbishment plan for the airport’s Terminal F. As part of this retail revitalisation, Hudson Group will also open Tumi and 5th & Sunset (its in-house sunglasses and accessories retail brand) stores later this summer, joining its Kiehl’s and MAC units.

The Terminal F project is part of a wider multibillion-dollar renovation and expansion project, dubbed ATLNext, expected to be complete by 2031.

Hudson will add its largest store yet to its wide North American network; it will house the brand’s in-house concepts for books and confectionery alongside a wide range of travel essentials (images show artist impressions of the new store)

“We are grateful for Hudson Group’s support in the mid-term refurbishment plan, and we look forward to the addition of the new 5,000sq ft ATL Shops by Hudson — the world’s largest Hudson store concept — into our retail portfolio,” said Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport Director of Concessions Management Chilly Ewing.

“Our goal is to meet the changing needs and preferences of customers travelling through the world’s busiest airport by providing them with a variety of exceptional retail offerings,” said Hudson Group President & CEO Joseph DiDomizio. “Hudson Group is eager to continue enriching the retail programme with the world’s largest Hudson store at the world’s busiest airport.”
