Wild Tiger rum aims to spread its stripes in the Americas

Indian rum brand Wild Tiger will showcase its new rum box at next week’s Summit of the Americas. The brand will be present on the stand of its US travel retail distributor, Haleybrooke International (207/208).

The rum box is an advent-style calendar consisting of 20 miniature rums from 20 rum-producing countries. According to Wild Tiger, pre-orders for this SKU have been “exceptional”.

The brand said that it aims to grow the novelty gifting liquor category in travel retail in a “fun, educational and engaging way” through products such as the rum box .

Wild Tiger will also present its new one-litre variants of the Special Reserve dark rum and the Indian spiced rum. A new Cubs Twin pack is now available, which comprises 2 x 35cl bottles of each format, priced at US$25.

Wild Tiger rum launched in travel retail less than two years ago and has gained listings with border stores, airlines, airports and cruise lines globally. The brand said partnerships with Viking Line, DFS Group and King Power International Group are in the pipeline.

The company is currently shipping orders to duty free retailers in Ontario, Canada after a positive response from buyers at the FDFA show in Montreal last year. Wild Tiger added that it is pleased with its performance at Neutral Duty Free’s store on the Uruguay/Brazil border and with JPT Duty Free in Chile.

JPT Chile CEO Prakash Thadani commented: “Wild Tiger rum has been an exciting addition to our liquor range at our Iquique store. We launched during the festive period and the response has been promising. Store visitors particularly love the catchy tactile packaging and flavour of the rum. We are confident the brand will grow in Chile.”

As a part of its core CSR policy, Wild Tiger donates 10% of profits towards Tiger Conservation in South India via the non-profit Wild Tiger Foundation.
