Westfield announces competitive evaluation for LAX T3 retail and dining

USA. Westfield today unveiled the Competitive Evaluation Process (CEP) for dining and retail opportunities at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Terminal 3.

The company is seeking proposals for the development of a multi-unit quick service food court, a bar, two travel essentials kiosk/wall shops and one specialty retail unit.

The Terminal 3 CEP is part of the transformation being spearheaded by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and Westfield, and the broader, ongoing transformation of LAX.

“This is just the beginning of our improvements to Terminal 3 and a long-term partnership with Delta,” said Westfield LAX Vice President Keith Kaplan. “We’re excited to commence the installation of superior concessions in the terminal. Working together we’ll provide more options and an enhanced customer experience to satisfy the millions of travellers who come through Terminal 3 each year.”

CEP proposals are due at 12 p.m. PT on 8 February 2017. Winners will be announced the same month. Interested parties may click here to access all related documents.

Westfield said that in partnership with the city of Los Angeles and Los Angeles World Airports it is transforming the customer experience at LAX terminals 1, 2, 3, 6 and Tom Bradley International Terminal. To improve satisfaction and drive sales, the company said it is crafting a unique design at each terminal tailored to meet customer needs.

Westfield Corporation has interests in 35 shopping centres in the USA and UK, encompassing approximately 6,500 retail outlets and total assets under management of US$29 billion.
