“We aim to delight”: Delhi Duty Free launches 2017 Malt Festival

INDIA. Delhi Duty Free Services has launched its second annual Malt Festival, which aims to boost its customers’ knowledge of whisky and give them a chance to win big prizes.

Brand experts and ambassadors will be on hand to teach consumers about the heritage, culture and craftsmanship behind a range of Scottish malts. Delhi Duty Free said the festival will exhibit a specially curated collection of over 150 malts alongside recently launched duty free exclusives.

During the two-month promotion period, those spending over US$110 will be entered in to a draw to win a Home Bar, comprising 25 bottles from the retailer’s Premium Liquor Collection.

Meanwhile discounts on certain brands and complimentary gifts will be available to customers who purchase two or more bottles from a selected range.

Last year’s Malt Festival was recognised in the recently announced Moodie Davitt Report Digital Awards, with Delhi Duty Free receiving a ‘highly commended’ accolade for Best Omnichannel Marketing campaign.

“Every year we aim to delight our customers by creating exciting experiences and activations,” said Delhi Duty Free CEO Luke Gorringe.

At the end of 2016 Delhi Duty Free introduced Rampur single malt whisky to its stores as a channel exclusive. The export-only product, which is made at India’s oldest distillery in the foothills of the Himalayas, is overseen by Master Blender Anup Barik.
