German drinks company Waldemar Behn has announced the retirement of its US travel retail representative George Sternberg.

Danzka Global Sales Director Torben Vedel Andersen said: “This year’s Summit of the Americas is approaching and Waldemar Behn regrets to say goodbye to its US broker for almost a decade, George Sternberg, who has decided to retire.

“We thank George and Katrin for their invaluable support and friendship and wish them all the best for the future.”

In 2006, Sternberg was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by South American Duty Free Association ASUTIL in Chile. At this time he was working as Latin American Duty Free Manager for Bacardi.
