Voodoo Brewing Co opens craft beer pop-up at Pittsburgh Airport

USA. Voodoo Brewing Co has partnered with Fraport USA to open its first pop-up pub, at Pittsburgh International Airport Concourse C.

The 225sq ft pub is open Monday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. and Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. The space seats up to 25.

The ‘open air’ pub has an outdoorsy vibe with Voodoo-branded wooden pallets and a graffiti chalk board reminiscent of the Meadville brewer’s celebrated label art. The new pub also offers USB plug-ins so customers can charge their devices.

Voodoo is offering up to twelve draft lines and a collection of year-round and seasonal brews at the pop-up, including cult favourites Voodoo Love Child, Wynona’s Big Brown Ale, Good Vibes and White Magick of the Sun. Chips and Beelzebub Salsa, made in Meadville, are also available.

Allegheny County Airport Authority Chief Commercial Officer Eric Sprys said: “The addition of Voodoo Brewing Co is the latest piece to bringing more of our regional flavour into the terminal. Sense of Place is important and we’re excited that travellers can experience more of the Pittsburgh region right at the airport.”

Fraport USA President and CEO Ben Zandi commented: “We’re thrilled to bring Voodoo Brewing Co to the airport. We’re always on the lookout for innovative concepts that showcase our region. Voodoo is no exception. This regional brewer is on the global stage in the craft beer movement.”
